The basic shape of this piece is the copy of a dish present in the kitchen of historic times (see also VSME). It was used to prepare preserves and other dishes, where excess liquid had to be poured off. This more complex shape is decorated with grapes and curls and we paint it with the simple elegance of Bianco Antico (Antique White). We consider it an ornamental piece, but it could also be used as a fruit dish.
