This piece is the copy of a dish present in the kitchen of historic times. It was used to prepare preserves and other dishes, where excess liquid had to be poured off. We consider it an ornamental piece, but it can also be used as a fruit dish. It is painted with fruit and vegetables rarely represented on ceramics.
